A Party

26 June 2010 Posted by 2 Comments

We had a gathering yesterday to celebrate the launch of Grassrooted Development Consultants. An excuse for a party. People, food, rapping, singing, laughing and a splash of alcohol behind the ears.

We had representation from some large NGOs, INGOs, multilaterals and of course, grassroots initiatives. People. Good people. Friends. Colleagues. For the first time in a long time I felt like I was back in India. The vibrations were good. Things are going to happen. I can smell it. I can taste it. Things are going to happen. When people come together things always do.

The dance has changed, and so must the music… on with the dance.

ps. Maya, I still miss you. I will always miss you.

Thanks Nadee. It was the first of many gatherings. We’ll make sure you don’t miss the next one. Look forward to working with you for young people in Sri Lanka.
